Geotechnical Monitoring Pipes & Casings

GEOLUR supplies PVC/PVC-U monitoring pipes, ABS inclinometer casings, HDPE engineering pipes and custom perforated pipes for groundwater monitoring and dewatering projects worldwide.

Specialist Engineering Pipe Supply

Four focused pipe systems. One engineering supply partner.

GEOLUR focuses on engineering pipes and casings used in geotechnical monitoring, groundwater monitoring, dewatering and ground-movement measurement. Our core range covers PVC / PVC-U engineering pipes, ABS inclinometer casings, PE / HDPE engineering pipes and custom perforated pipes for projects across Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

GEOLUR does not treat monitoring and well pipes as ordinary plumbing products. Material, connection, screen configuration, installation environment and measurement objective should be considered together before a project specification is finalised.

Corporate identity: GeoLur is the specialist engineering-pipe supply platform operated by GeoOrigin Engineering Limited. This focused role separates GEOLUR’s pipe and casing supply activities from broader engineering and monitoring services elsewhere in the GeoOrigin ecosystem.

Core Product Families

Engineering pipes selected around the monitoring application.

The GEOLUR product architecture is intentionally narrow. Each family supports a distinct group of groundwater, dewatering or deformation-monitoring requirements while remaining configurable to the project’s specified dimensions, connections and installation method.

Engineering Applications

Start with what the pipe must do in the ground.

Pipe selection is more reliable when the application is defined before the material. GEOLUR therefore organises enquiries around the monitoring or groundwater function, installation geometry and required pipe configuration.

Groundwater Monitoring

Monitoring Wells & Piezometers

Systems may combine plain riser pipe, screened or slotted sections, caps, filter interfaces and connections to create monitoring wells or open standpipe installations.

Water Standpipes Open Standpipe Piezometers Monitoring Wells
Groundwater Control

Dewatering, Recharge & Relief Wells

Well depth, pumping duty, screened interval, groundwater chemistry, external loading and connection strategy should be reviewed together before choosing PVC, PVC-U, PE or HDPE.

Inclinometer Installations

ABS inclinometer casing provides the guided reference path used by inclinometer probes. Installation may be vertical, horizontal, in a borehole, embedded in fill or concrete, or attached to a structure depending on the monitoring design.

Boreholes Diaphragm Walls Slopes
Water standpipes and open standpipe piezometers

A standpipe installation normally requires more than a single length of pipe. The riser, intake or screened section, connection details, cap arrangement and surrounding filter or sealing system must work together.

GEOLUR can review the pipe and consumable scope against the project BOQ or technical specification before quotation.

Groundwater and environmental monitoring wells

Material selection should consider the substances being monitored as well as mechanical requirements. PVC and HDPE are not automatically interchangeable for every environmental sampling programme.

Sampling objectives, expected groundwater chemistry, pipe connection, sealing strategy and project standards should therefore be reviewed before material selection.

Deep dewatering, pumping, recharge and relief wells

Deeper or higher-duty wells can place different tensile, collapse, handling and connection demands on the pipe system. GEOLUR therefore treats the application, diameter, depth and connection as part of the same procurement discussion.

Vertical and horizontal inclinometer casing

Inclinometer casing is a measurement reference, not simply an empty plastic tube. Groove geometry, joint alignment, casing straightness, installation depth, anticipated movement and compatibility with the selected probe system can influence the monitoring outcome.

Material Choice

PVC, ABS or HDPE? The application should decide.

There is no single “best” polymer pipe for every monitoring or groundwater project. GEOLUR uses an application-first approach so the material, connection and pipe configuration can be reviewed against the actual engineering requirement.

Product Family Typical GEOLUR Application Important Selection Questions Common Configuration Topics
PVC / PVC-U Engineering Pipes Standpipes, piezometers, monitoring wells, recharge wells and selected dewatering installations. What is the monitoring objective? Is the section plain or screened? What is the groundwater environment? What connection and installation depth are required? Riser pipe, slotted pipe, slot pattern, screened interval, connections, caps and accessories.
ABS Inclinometer Casings Borehole, horizontal, retaining-wall, diaphragm-wall, slope, embankment, tunnel and excavation monitoring. What probe system is used? What casing diameter and groove geometry are required? Is settlement or heave expected? How will joints be sealed and aligned? Casing sections, fixed or movement-accommodating couplings, end caps, top protection and installation accessories.
PE / HDPE Engineering Pipes Deep dewatering, recharge, relief, environmental monitoring and selected coastal or chemically aggressive environments. What are the depth and mechanical requirements? What substances may contact the pipe? Is flexibility or welded/threaded connection important? Plain pipe, screened sections, connection strategy, fittings, caps and project-specific pipe lengths.
Custom Perforated Pipes Monitoring, drainage, groundwater intake, recharge, filtration and project-defined screened intervals. What opening shape, spacing, screened length and open area are required? What is the base pipe material? Slots, holes, perforation zones, longitudinal pattern, circumferential pattern and mixed configurations.
Engineering limitation: this table is a procurement and selection guide, not a substitute for the project designer’s specification. Final dimensions, material grades, pressure requirements, screen openings and connection details should follow the approved project design and relevant project standards.

Customisation

When a standard screen pattern does not match the project.

GEOLUR can coordinate project-specific perforated pipe enquiries where the screened interval, slot or hole layout must be matched to a monitoring, recharge, dewatering or groundwater application.

Opening Pattern

Slots, holes or other feasible perforation patterns may be reviewed against the required application and manufacturing method.

Screened Interval

Perforation can be discussed for selected portions of the pipe rather than assuming that the complete pipe length should be open.

Base Pipe

The requested perforation should be coordinated with pipe material, wall geometry, connection type and intended installation method.

Project Documentation

A quotation can reference the agreed perforation scope so the requested configuration is clearer during procurement, production and inspection.

  • Slot or hole type
  • Opening dimensions
  • Longitudinal spacing
  • Circumferential pattern
  • Screened length
  • Plain-to-screen transition
  • Pipe material and diameter
  • Quantity and packing requirement

QA/QC & Submittal Support

A pipe order should arrive with a clearly defined technical scope.

GEOLUR and GeoOrigin Engineering Limited place emphasis on matching the quoted item to the project specification before supply. Available documentation depends on the selected product, manufacturer and project requirement and is confirmed during quotation.

Before Order

Specification Review

Review the requested material, diameter, pipe form, connection, screen or perforation requirement, accessories, quantity and delivery destination.

Before Dispatch

Supply Documentation

Where applicable and available, the supply package may include agreed product information, dimensional records, manufacturer documents, inspection photos, packing details or other project-required records.

Project Control

Scope Traceability

Custom perforation, accessories and non-standard configurations should be clearly stated in the quotation so the supplied scope can be checked against the approved procurement requirement.

GEOLUR does not claim that every product automatically carries the same certificate or complies with every international standard. Required standards, certificates and inspection documents should be identified in the RFQ and confirmed in writing before order placement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions engineers and buyers ask before requesting a quote.

What products does GEOLUR currently focus on?

GEOLUR focuses on PVC / PVC-U engineering pipes, ABS inclinometer casings, PE / HDPE engineering pipes and custom perforated pipes, together with selected directly related pipe and monitoring-well consumables.

Does GEOLUR still supply general geotechnical instruments and laboratory equipment?

GEOLUR’s current commercial positioning is focused on engineering pipes, casings and directly related consumables for monitoring, groundwater and dewatering applications rather than a broad catalogue of unrelated geotechnical equipment.

What is the difference between PVC and HDPE monitoring-well pipe?

The correct choice depends on the application rather than material name alone. Groundwater chemistry, sampling objective, depth, flexibility, mechanical requirement, connection method and project standard can all affect the decision.

GEOLUR recommends reviewing these conditions before finalising the material in the procurement specification.

Why does inclinometer casing need dedicated internal grooves?

The grooves provide the orientation reference followed by the inclinometer probe. The casing also transfers movement of the surrounding ground, fill, concrete or structure into the measurement path, which is why joint alignment and installation quality matter.

Can GEOLUR supply custom slotted or perforated pipes?

GEOLUR accepts enquiries for custom perforation or slot configurations. Feasibility depends on the base pipe, wall geometry, required opening pattern, screened length, quantity and manufacturing method.

Does GEOLUR supply to Singapore and Malaysia?

Yes. Singapore and Malaysia are core target markets for GEOLUR project enquiries involving monitoring pipes, inclinometer casings, groundwater wells and dewatering pipe systems. Delivery details are confirmed per quotation.

Does GEOLUR supply to the UAE and Saudi Arabia?

GEOLUR welcomes project enquiries from the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other selected Middle Eastern markets. Product configuration, documentation, quantity, packing and delivery destination should be included in the RFQ.

Can GEOLUR help select the pipe specification?

GEOLUR can review the procurement requirement and discuss material, pipe form, connection, screened section and accessories based on information supplied by the client. Final engineering design and project acceptance remain subject to the responsible project engineer and approved project specification.
